EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
On May 3-4, 2010, PumpTec Chicago provided two days of back-to-back technical sessions to plant maintenance and engineering professionals from facilities around the country. During its six hands-on sessions led by 15 expert presenters, attendees learned firsthand how to assemble and troubleshoot several different types of pumps and seals, improve equipment reliability and life span, and increase efficiencies and energy savings. The event also provided opportunities during meals, breaks and the evening reception for attendees to network and share best practices and real-world challenges with their peers. Attendees also learned about the importance of workplace safety, through a compelling keynote session from a long-time industry expert.
NEW LUNCH & LEARN WORKSHOP
A new addition to the PumpTec agenda for 2010 was the Pumps In Action Lunch & Learn Workshop. Participants learned about unique pump installations in facilities throughout the U.S.—directly from the solution-providers of the pumping equipment. The workshop featured a series of presentations that included overviews of project design objectives, challenges, results and details about economic benefits. The series concluded with a lively Q&A Session.
